To shifting the current linear system to a circular one we need actions that involves everyone and everything. Governments, knowledge institutions, companies and consumers all play their part in this. Collaboration is needed to achieve a successful circular economy. Although it seems difficult an complicated to envision the transition and understand the interactions, it is easy to get started and make steps with tangible results into to right direction.
ProActBlue is a management & consultancy firm focused on management and innovation for a circular economy. Together we collaborate to help governments, companies and knowledge institutions develop, coordinate and implement Circular Economy initiatives. We're often involved to make Circular Economy principles easy to understand, fun to implement and effective to reach our EU ambition and objectives. An example is our successful Circular Benchmark Tool to effectively assess, understand, visualize, and compare the transition towards a circular economy for regions and provinces.
Description of projects
Challenge: No country, as of yet, satisfies the basic needs of its citizens within the ecological boundaries of the planet. Hence accelerating the transition requires cross-border collaboration. Measuring and monitoring is key and it’s wide acknowledged that exactly this needs to be made easier.
Outcome: Co-created the Circular Benchmark Tool (CBT), an effective assessment to understand, visualize, and compare the transition towards a circular economy for regions and provinces. One of the key aims of the CBT is to act as replicable tool for knowledge exchange to improve regional circular performance and facilitate cross-regional learning about circular economy.
