Challenge: Impact and circularity metrics for Pay-per-Use (PPU) platforms are not defined nor standardized. Questions arise on how to assess and monitor the circularity and understand the difference from owning versus using products on the PPU platform.

Outcome: Developed a Product as a Service (PaaS) Impact assessment to assess the circularity of offered products on the platform.

Challenge: The Netherlands aims to have a circular economy in place by 2050 and requested RIVM to develop the Raw Materials Information System (Grondstoffen Informatie Systeem - GRIS) for this purpose. RIVM needed to explore what is needed in order to create such a system.

Outcome: Supported the RIVM in setting up indicators to monitor raw materials, to test the indicators in pilot case(s) and setting up recommendations for gathering data about the production and processing of the raw materials, linking different data, evaluating which data is missing and make the data available.

Challenge: Nieuwe Start Woonzorg formulated ambitions for sustainable progress and were looking for inspiration and a baseline assessment.

Outcome: By means of desk- and field research a mapping of NSW strategy and UN SDG’s was performed after which a baseline CO₂ footprint was performed (scope 1, 2, 3) and next steps were formulated.

Challenge: Conduct a Second Party Opinion (SPO) on Coda’s Green Bond Framework 2020 for Coda Plastics Limited.

Outcome: An in-depth positive review of Coda Group’s transformation plans, the use of proceeds, process of project evaluation and selection, management of proceeds and reporting. Reference to approved credential, select more info below.

Challenge: No country, as of yet, satisfies the basic needs of its citizens within the ecological boundaries of the planet. Hence accelerating the transition requires cross-border collaboration. Measuring and monitoring is key and it’s wide acknowledged that exactly this needs to be made easier.

Outcome: Co-created the Circular Benchmark Tool (CBT), an effective assessment to understand, visualize, and compare the transition towards a circular economy for regions and provinces. One of the key aims of the CBT is to act as replicable tool for knowledge exchange to improve regional circular performance and facilitate cross-regional learning about circular economy.

Challenge: How can airports enhance their operational efficiency, reduce environmental impacts, and contribute to the larger sustainability goals of the aviation industry?

Outcome: Performed a baseline assessment to determine priority waste streams and designed a monitoring framework to reduce operational resource streams by 20% in 2025.

Challenge: Adjust the strategic positioning of Prom'es and thereby connect with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

Outcome: In addition to the substantive results of the SDG Assessment, Circular in Business created broad support within the organisation by organising an interactive workshop and formulating concrete practical follow-up steps.
